Community 4th of July Committee Meeting

Parade Date: Tuesday, July 4th (Rain date: Saturday, July 8th)

Committee Members and Roles: Lara working on newsletter, but not attending meetings.  Lauren Carlton will solicit businesses again. Stacy Scanella will do baby parade. Still need team for the food tent, and a Miss 4th Coordinator.

2017 Theme: “Where stars and stripes and the eagles fly.” Change? Use part of? Natalie checking to see about copyright infringement.

Grand Marshall: Ann Kintzel, Mr. Miller?

BYOB: Saturday, April 29th. Set up on Friday, April 28th. T-shirts to be available at BYOB, also to take orders. Fred and Pete’s of Hamilton will cater, and set up.  Music  will be provided by Mike Kopliner Acoustic, and possibly Tim Lynch ($150 donation). Tickets $20/pp. Hire firehouse juniors to work? Need to buy lemonade and water bottles? Have Mike Sullivan MC? No 50/50.

Food Tent: Need new crew. Set up earlier for breakfast, and increase pricing?

Newsletter: Lara will create. Need submission info and “Day Of” events.

Firecrackers Raffle: $5000 target. 1000 tickets. 1 winner, $2500.

Kids Games: 10am behind school.

Baby Parade: Stacy Scanella to lead. No prize money.

Treasury: $9589.04 in checking, $500 in savings.

Blessing: 2017 – Catholic, St. George’s, 2018- Presbyterian, 2019-Methodist.Judges: Robert to coordinate. Send prizes after? Judge bikes before parade and announce as they roll in?
